As a library member, you will be able to borrow a wide range of materials for free.
How many items can I borrow?
You can have a maximum of 50 items on your library card. There is a limit of ten e-Books and ten e-Audiobooks each at a time including loans and reservations.
How long can I borrow items for?
The default borrowing period is four weeks. You are able to renew your item once for a further four weeks provided no-one has placed a reservation on the item. In some circumstances, our staff can provide an extended loan period, for example, when a borrower will be away or is ill.
You can renew items in person, over the phone, or online by logging into your library account.
What happens if I have overdue library items?
Please renew items before the due date either online, by phone or in person.
If an item is not returned within a certain timeframe after becoming overdue, you will be asked to pay the cost of its replacement.
How can I keep track of my library loans?
You can review your current loans by logging into your library account. If you have an email address linked to your card, you will also receive a reminder email to renew your items just before the due date.
Can I borrow from other libraries?
As part of the Libraries Victoria consortium, Wodonga Library members are able to access over 3 million items from across Victorian libraries. This can be done online through the library catalogue or through our staff. When the item is available, it will be sent to Wodonga and you will be notified that it's ready for collection. These loans are free, but each library sets its own loan periods, rules for borrowing and fines for overdue material. You can also use your Wodonga Library card at Libraries Victoria libraries if you are travelling throughout Victoria.
If the item you want is not available at Wodonga or through the Libraries Victoria, we can search further to find a library willing to lend it. This is called an inter-library loan and most libraries charge a fee for this service. We must pass that fee on to you. Staff will always let you know the likely charge before requesting an inter-library loan.
