The health and wellbeing of our library community is always our main priority.

In line with the measures being put in place by the federal and state governments to limit the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Wodonga Library will be closing on Tuesday, March 24 until further notice.

• You can still return items via the after hours chute
• You can still phone, email and message staff for assistance
• Item due dates will be extended as needed
• Our website and social media channels will contain updates and information as it comes to hand.

 Is the library open?

The library space is closed to the public indefinitely. We are looking into alternate ways to provide our services to the community.

We are prioritising email and Facebook direct messenger as the best way to get in touch with our staff. Please refrain from calling the main library phone number where possible to leave the lines free for those that have no other option. If you would prefer a phone call, send us a message and we can call you back on a separate line.


I have items on loan, when will they be due back?

Items on loan will be extended to April 22. We will review this as needed.


Can I still return items?

At this time, our afterhours chute is unlocked. We are also happy for members to hang on to any items they have on loan- due dates will be extended.


What will happen to holds that are waiting for me to collect them?

Items currently on hold will have their collection date extended. They will not be sent back at this time- we’re investigating alternate ways to get them to members.


Can I still place holds on items I want to request?

As deliveries around the state have paused indefinitely, at this time you are unable to place holds on items from other libraries. Keep track of the items you are after, and we will let people know when requests reopen.


I want to access the online library (eBooks, audio books, video streaming and digital magazines). What are my login details?

Your user id is your membership number, printed under the barcode on your library card. You need to use the whole number, with no gaps. Your pin was set-up when joining the library- if you’re unsure try using the last four numbers of your user id. If this doesn’t work, contact us and we can reset it for you. What is happening with events and programs, such as Storytime and Book Clubs?

All library events are suspended until May 31, to be reassessed at that time. We are investigating online models for continuing our events remotely. The best way to stay up-to-date is to make sure you are following our Facebook page.
