The Wodonga Library offers a range of community based programs designed to assist patrons who have English as a second language. Programs are open to all community members and there is a special emphasis on patrons who are new to Australia and the Wodonga community.

The following programs are offered in partnership with the Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau.

Homework Help

If you are from a multicultural background and need some help with schoolwork? Bring your reader, maths homework and projects you are working on that you need help with for school. Each session has qualified volunteers to help multicultural students with homework and assignments.

Wednesday afternoons during Term 3 from July 21 to September 20 

3.45 pm to 5pm

 

Cards and Coffee / Mindful Mandala’s

This is a great chance to drop in to catch up with old friends and meet new friends; including recent immigrants and refugees whilst playing cards, games, mandala making and having a coffee.

Friday mornings from July 21 to September 22

11am to 12:30pm

 

Conversations in English

Is English your second or additional language? Would you like to practice your English with friendly people? Each week, you are welcome to come along to the library to practice your English with trained volunteers whilst having fun.

Wednesday mornings from July 26 to September 20 

11am to 12 noon

 

Computer Help

Are you from a multicultural background and need assistance with using the computer? Each week, trained volunteers are able to assist you with using the computer in the library. You can learn how to send an email, check the news search the internet.
